For those who don’t know us, we are a Chabad family who run a Jewish Outreach organization called the Indiana Jewish Discovery Center.
We are reaching out to see if your family would be interested in participating in a unique Yom Kippur Experience this year. Something similar has been tried with success in Skokie, Illinois and we are trying to gage if it can work here.
To make this event viable, we need to gather a basic headcount to see if there is enough interest.
Here are the key details of what we are planning:

  • Convenient Location: A hotel stay, with prayers in the hotel, less than 30 minutes from Indianapolis, allowing you to remain on-site for the holiday without any travel.
  • Traditional Services: An Israeli Chazzan leading the prayers with traditional, familiar tunes.
    • Engaging Content: Inspiring stories and meaningful commentary interspersed throughout the services.
    • Holiday Meals: Full dinner provided before the fast begins and a simple break-fast meal at the conclusion of the holiday.
    • Children’s Programming: Supervised activities and programming during much of the service times for children who are not participating in the main prayers.
